On January 21st over 800,000 souls gathered in Downtown Los Angeles as a symbol of resistance to the regressive thinking that has taken place in our country. It was by far one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The Los Angeles Women's March shutdown the metro system and despite the amount of people -there was an inevitable energy of peace. The comradery was unlike anything I have ever felt. For the first time in a long time, I felt hopeful. The reality is that we are not living in a normal political world. I contemplated keeping politics out of this platform because I am someone who likes to keep an open mind about everything. My first question is always "how?" I analyze things in depth before committing to a prescribed way of thinking. With that said, there is something seriously broken in our system. I refuse to stay quiet and let ignorance take the lead. My platform has always been about inspiring people to live authentically and as such, I will be speaking and making my voice heard. There will still be lots of fashion and beauty related content - but there will also be a strong undercurrent pertaining to the empowerment of women and voicing human rights issues. If this isn't your cup of tea then this would be a good time to un-follow me.

All my love,

Griselle
