Greetings from the back seat of my uber car! I am on my way to LAX en route to our Nation's Capital. I love visiting D.C. as I am reminded that there are so many individuals making a real difference in the world. It makes me want to work harder for the things that I am most passionate about. One of those is representing my culture and saying yes to as many projects that speak to the passion in my bones. When I do this, I feel as though I am standing up for the women that see themselves in me. More than anything, I want to pass along and inspire the same bravery that so many of my personal heroes have instilled in me.
With new emerging social media platforms — artists, writers, photographers, mothers from diverse backgrounds have a platform to use their voice and to connect with their prescribed tribes. It is truly a remarkable time. As always thank you for coming along on this journey with me. I will never tire of letting you know just how grateful I am for all of you. For those of you who are wondering, I do have Guatemalan roots. And I am extremely proud of them.
Hugs for a Monday.
