Where does the time go?? I feel like the ground beneath my feet has been shifting rather quickly.
For starters, this year began with a big focus on philanthropy. Though I will always be a fashionista at heart, there is an altruistic side of me that demands action. In 2014, I was consulting for an organization that focuses on education and genocide prevention globally. At the end of last year, the same organization offered me a full time position which I happily accepted. It's been a beautiful whirlwind, and I feel completely blessed to work with colleagues all around the world fighting to make a difference. However, that has also meant a change of pace for this platform. I am still and will always have this platform and I hope in the next coming year to even launch a YouTube channel that will surely bring a new layer to our lovely friendship.

These photographs were taken on my trip to Portland, OR. One of the first things on the itinerary was to visit The Grotto. Upon my visit, I discovered that what Anne Frank once wrote is piercingly true: The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend ahead. Yours truly is still recovering from a bout of a horrible virus. This weekend will be composed of some much needed rest.
